is, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God, but the
children of the promise are counted for the seed."
It is easy to say, "All Israel shall be saved" and intend by that expression every
physical descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This would be wider than truth
however. Some physical descendants of Abraham are Ishmaelites. The same is true
concerning the parallel term "All in Adam". Physical descent would indicate Cain and
the Canaanites, what God means by All in Adam must be ruled by His own definition in
Rom. 9: 6-8, and by the fact which Scripture reveals of the two seeds. When the seed of
the wicked one is gathered out of the Kingdom (not to be saved, not to be garnered, not to
be changed, but to be burned up as things that offend):--
"Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of THEIR FATHER.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear" (Matt. 13: 43).
