The spirit in which we should seek to serve our brethren is expressed in
the words of II Cor. 1: 3, 4:--
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us
in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which
are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are
comforted of God."
We can only give out what He first of all gives to us. If we teach things
beyond our experience, they may be the truth, but we feel they will lack vital
power.
Earnestly praying that "the peace of God that passeth understanding" may
still garrison our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus,
Yours in that blessed hope,
CHARLES H. WELCH
