upon this subject, for surely, if eternal conscious suffering is a truth of Scripture, the
apostle to the Gentiles will say so somewhere. Let us not fear the face of man, but think
of the honour of the Lord, the libel upon His sacred name, and the contradiction against
His holy Word involved in the Romish (and alas Protestant) doctrine of eternal conscious
suffering.
Rev. 16: 13
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of
the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go
into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written
in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was,
and is not, and yet is.
Isa. 34:
8. For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy
of Zion.
9. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and
the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
10. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from
generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
