from that of ploughing to that of a contestant, a runner or an athlete, we
read:
`Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto
Jesus the author and finisher of our faith' (Heb. 12:1,2),
where the word translated `look' is the Greek aphorao `to look away',
possibly here to look away from the examples of faith already reviewed in
chapter 11 to the supreme Example, the Captain and the Perfecter of faith,
the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.  This same most glorious Example is brought
before us when thinking of our relationship with others.
